just arrived home from a fantastic holiday. it snowed for the first three days we were there and the conditions were excellent until the end of the week when it was becoming quite icy in places. the locals were all very friendly and we had an excellent week at ski school with our instructor ivo, who really pushed us to our limits. I have never put a pair of skis on before, and by the end of the week i was skiing (somewhat slowly) down blue runs. my partner, an avid snowboarder had a few excellent off piste days with plenty of powder. we met some really nice people and i would definately go there again. the hotel victoria where we stayed was about a ten minute walk but there are plenty of taxis and horse and carts waiting in the town centre to drop you back at the end of a hard day. all in all, a brilliant holiday.
