re: just back

Hi,
just back from boro, it was our first time and could not fault it, even when we got to the Iglika and was told they had no rooms booked for us. The Inghams rep Todor took ten minutes to get us two studio's in the Rila and have us booked in.
We found the price of food and drink depended on where you eat but tended to eat at the Deva by the Rotata green run as the food was realy good and they arn't pushy.

We took my 15 y.o. son's friend who has never ski'd and booked ski lessons and ski's etc with the Albena Ski school which is quite small and had an instructor named Michael. By the third day both my son's mate and my wife who is a bit nervous where skiing realy well. I cannot recommend Michael enough to anyone new to skiing, he cares more about you enjoying yourself and making it fun than how long the lessons take. He even brought a birthday cake for one of the groups partners and took us to a bulgarian evening that was fantastic fun.
we made some realy good new friends who we hope to meet again. Hope to go back soon and take our other son as he will love the view from the top of the the gondola and the skiing down.
Hope all of you going have as good a time as we did, just watch out for the ice on the red runs if there is no fresh snow. I've got the bruises to prove it's hard.

Hi, I agree with all the above Borovets is a fantastic place to learn to ski. I was also with Mike in ski school and thought Michael was an excellent ski instructor. It was hilarious everyday and the best fun I have ever had, I have already been looking at prices to go back and have another go.
We stayed at the Hotel Maura which was lovely even though it is a bit of a walk down the hill. We met some lovely people in the hotel and the happy hour that seemed to last all night everynight was ...

We stayed at the Hotel Maura which was lovely even though it is a bit of a walk down the hill. We met some lovely people in the hotel and the happy hour that seemed to last all night everynight was great value for money!!
I made some fantastic friends in Borovets and I really hope we will meet again - I think we should plan a trip for next year and ask michael to teach us again - I miss crashing into Jill on a daily basis!! Very Happy
