first timers to borovets dont expect austrian standards think turkey with snow(or no snow) I had a fab time hotel was manky(malina village) food not the best but as long as you dont expect luxury you might be pleasantly surprised.
Sorry to hear your storey mate, what a bummer, you save all year for that special holiday, and this happens, it`ll be like all those who went to bankok last year expecting the sun !
still had a good time we had snow first four days last 2 days really not able to ski, fighting in ques (cant spell that today)so just gave up, gondola not open due to high winds only rila slopes open and too hot for snow cannons to work instructors really worried it was 10 degs instead of-20 also a huge problem we found was that snow covers a multitude of sins! very filthy everywhere when no snow, rubbish everywhere sorry bg lovers didnt find it that cheap either, but I did enjoy even though ...

Just got back from Boro....the lack of snow is going to be a real problem next week. We ski'd every day. The reds from the gondola down to the mid station were in good condition and almost deserted. The problems with the gondola were made worse with a mini strike by boro sport lift staff on Thursday...but with only a limited number of runs open u need to be able to ski reds in order to have fun!
