Bulgaria Ski discussion board

We will be holidaying in Borovets for one week starting on the 24th January. I have skiid before but it is the first time for my partner and two children, age 11 and 4. We are not sure how the 4 year old will react to being in ski school all day and wondered how other parents have coped! Is it likely that the 11 year old and my partner who is also a beginner will be skiing the same slopes in case she changes her mind about lessons? We are staying at the Rila studios as it seemed to be in the best location at the bottom of the nursery slopes.

Any advice welcome

We went last year with our 3 kids - 7, 6 and 3 at the time. The eldest two had a ski instructor (to themselves) from the Samakov ski school from 9 to 1 and the youngest went to the ski Kindergarten at the Samakov (just next door to the Rila).

They all had a great time, the girls in the ski kindergarten were great, they would take them out skiing, sledging, building snowmen etc. until they had had enough and then they would go inside and play games, watch tv or even sleep!

The elder kids spent the morning with the instructor, who was really good with them and they had lots of fun and their skiing really improved - so much so that they were skiing red runs with us in the afternoons by the end of the week.

I don't really know what it cost because it was all part of the package, but that in itself was cheap enough.
