As promised trying to keep folks updated--heres a recap from my post 6 Dec.....
There are some small changes showing signs on the longer range forecast as we approach Xmas. At the moment there may be some small dustings late this week or early next--but only small. Later on it looks as though there could be a weakening of the high pressure, allowing some increase in snow chance week of Dec 18. There are some small changes showing signs on the longer range forecast as we approach Xmas. At the moment there may be some small dustings late this week or early next--but only small. BEWARE though--this is still a long way off and things may change again. Generally though it will become cooler so at least any snow cannons will work more effectively ..........
as of today the above is still holding true, with next week showing little snow at all, but with the general signs that the laed into Xmas will turn colder with some signs of snow.

15 day forcast, and only on the 23rd December there is a forecast for a mix of rain and snow.
1st Arrivals on the 23rd!!!

I hope you all realise that the 2400meters above the sea level where this forecast is is about just before the very top of the highest point in Bansko which means that all below is-rain.Even if the snow comes on the very top there is a posibility for skiing only on the drags there if enough cover for that.Look at base levelBansko town 900m and temps there as well on 1700m -top of the gondola.not good.better go on the internet scrap Dec going very east and stop somewhere in the western Alps ...
