re: lesson times

hi eddie,
we're off to bansko on 4th too and all signed up for school. Have been told it runs from 10-12, break for lunch then 2-4. Not sure about the runs, but I don't think there are that many greens, so learners will probably be on the blues the first couple of days at least...have fun, maybe see you there...

At the top of the gondola, there is a baby run, where the very basics are taught. Very boring!
After that, you will be practising on another run that is not indicated on the piste map. You go up with a drag lift for about 500 meters. This downhill is not THAT boring anymore, but still very feasible.
The next step is the ski-way down to Bansko. It is a pretty long track, 7 kilometers, but not difficult. The last kilometer is so flat, that you will need your sticks.

If you go up with the chairlifts, you will meet runs that are indicated as blue, but some parts are closer to light red, or dark blue. This ski-way is really not darker than blue. It is nice that you can ski for quite a while and you do not have to queue op every five minutes.
It is possible to do the ski-way in ten minutes, but witt instructions it will take 45 to 60 minutes. Going up with the gondola takes 20 to 25 minutes. So you will do probably three, maximum four downhills a day.
The break is rather flexible. Last year we usually had lunch between 12.00 and 13.00 hrs. and finished lessons at 15.00 hrs.
Have a nice time overthere!!
