The currency in resort is Lev, so you will need Levs to spend.

Take pounds and change when you get there. The Euro is fixed to the Lev 1.94 to the euro. Why pay to change pounds to Euro and then again to change to Levs. Many places to change money in the main high street.

Hello Steve take some Levs with you for the first night /day then change the rest in the resort , you,ll get a slightly better rate, be aware sometimes they will only accept "PRISTINE CONDITION " bank notes i.e. no little tears or creases in them !!!! have fun. Dave

I just use the cash machine these days with a bank card which doesn't charge

Cash machines in countries other than UK will give you a better exchange rate than you could find on the high street in the UK, and you don't have to carry loads of cash with you for the flight.
