lift pass boro

off to borovets 2 weeks time but DIY not a package.
am i better just getting 6 day lift pass from gondola once in resort?
can i buy day before or will i have to queue on the first morning ?
i have been to borovets a couple of times but as a package ,so not familiar with buying passes, though i realise it will be more expensive.
