lift passes in Boro

Hi all, I had a phone call from First Choice earlier about my holiday to Borovets, flying out 6th Feb with my 8yr old son. I was told that lift passes are no longer available in the resort and had to be paid for before-hand at £115 each, (no reduction for my son!) Is this true? I was out there last March and saw the booth selling passes, ours were free last year so I never bothered checking prices. Can you still buy passes in the resort and if so how much are they?

Cheers,

Mike

re: lift passes in Boro

They are availble at at about 140 quid on Borovets
They are also availble at 27 quid a day
There is a discount for kids not sure what.
you can buy single areas of snow cover is not great
It is cheaper to buy them here in the UK.
We went last week and the snow cover was dodgy so we bought ours there.
The choice is buy them here they are cheaper- but all the runs may not be open
Try the web site My Borovets it has the prices etc
good luck

Of course you can buy when you get there and the price won't be much more. I paid €400 before I went and wasn't able to use them due to no snow. Complete waste of money.

yeah that's what worries me! Think I'll wait and pay more out there! Would hate to fork out £230 over here and find no snow! Thanks for the prompt replies!

Kids are 1/2 price and you can also save money by getting a 1/2 day pass from 12Pm at the resort. It is cheaper to buy before you go but we always go for 1/2 day passes at the resort as we are lazy skiers and find 1/2 day is pleanty for the children

Cheers Karen, that sounds like a good idea! (Although with all the hiking & riding my son's already done I have a feeling he may well be up for full days!)

re: lift passes in Boro

hmmmm makes you wonder if they want to make a quick buck by saying you can't buy in resort, also guess not many sales recently because of bad snow, think lots of people weren't buying weekly passes until they checked out the weather forecast for the week they were there
