lift queues

Does any know how long the lift queues are in Bansko over New Years week?

last new year i was there . on the 2-nd of Jan the queue was well over 1000 people on the gondola at 9.30am. was windy and it was running very slowly. on the 3,4 and 5-th was the same ,but because of the luck of snow there were few runs open only and the queues on the chairs was even bigger. On the slopes was the same- i had to ski with the crowd down so no joy at all. stones everywhere... -was bad. hope this new year will be better, if not i will give up with bansko.

put it this way:-if there are 14000 more beds in Bansko since last season but only cosmetic changes(one replacement of a very low altitude drag with chair lift) and the popularity of the place has gone up, there is only one centence-very growded lifts and runs.the only luck for you is if there are alot of plastered/drunk people which are uncapable of skiing for days after the NY night.then you have a chance.Just pray for alot of snow everywhere -this will spread the people abit

Try the stand for pancakes 200 m down the road from the gondola on the left hand side . Last time I’ve spend 1.5 hours on a queue...
It was the sweetest most enjoyable pancake I’ve ever eaten coz it cost me 1.5 hours from my precious life... which reminds me to stop smoking!!
