What it like getting up to the top of the mountain first time here, have ski before in europe.

4-6 man Cable Car - I'm guessing they are reasonably old but haven't been on any in western European resorts. It gets you from the bottom to the top with one stop at mid station so serves it purpose! They do sometimes have to close because of high winds - its has happened to me once each time I have been, but you can just go to the other slopes then and often it re-opens if the wind drops later in the day. Maybe takes 40 minutes - I should know I have done it so many times but usually ...

The bottom of the cable car is bang in middle of resort so no buses etc, but you may have a wait around 10am when the majority of ski schools start. Best go earlier or later.
