lifts in borovets!!

Hello

I really like the look of borovets. Am a learner boarder, went last year for a week. The drag lift thing is putting me off a bit, i didnt think they were suitable for boarders!?? Would be too scared to try just in case I hold up the que! Would be grateful for any opinions on this. Are the gondalas/chairlifts around the green/blues, and will I be ok??
Also, does anyone have an opinion on which would be the best 'learner' resort for a boarder??

re: lifts in borovets!!

There is a new 4 man chair up to the 6km blue / green so no hassle there - boarders can use button lifts though - seen many a boarder do so.

I've skied Borovets and Pamps - both as good as one another for beginners - depends if you a looking for a resort where the hotels are right by the slopes (Borovets) or where the hotels are in a separate area.

Drag lifts are ok for us boarders, just takes a little bottle to give it your first go, Don't worry about holding up the que, we all had to learn some time Smile

p.s. Did Boro last year and didn't go on a single drag lift, had a wicked time Cool

The Gondala, is fine for taking boarders to the top. You can't fall off those, unless you are unable to walk. Excellent resort.

re: lifts in borovets!!

the drags at the top staion at borovets are pretty tricky for unexperienced borders. As was siad earlier, there is a new 4 man lift, so not all bad.
