Expect to pay even higher on the mountain (16 E spag bol ) and up to 9 Euro for beer, but you may fall lucky with a couple for places that are around village prices...

Rule of thumb is the nearer you get to Val`d'isere the more you will pay. The other option is to shop in the supermarket, you'll save a bit, more if you can get down to Bourge St Maurice...even better...
It is an awesome area with a lift system to match, the lift pass price (about 40 Euro a day) is actually great value really, its just everything else price wise
The loop in le lac is reasonable for beer and lunch they do burger and chips, hot dogs etc its by the begginer slope and free chair lift ask around you'll find it.
Also Scottys bar in le lavechete, there is also a nice restaurant just opposite and down a bit but the name escapes me the specails board is good not cheap cheap but you get loads of food very freindly there too..
