There is a group of 6 of us going to bansko on 9th feb. 3 girls and 3 lads. The lads are asking me to ask what is a good local lager?

Thanks

re: local beer

The local beer is Bansko is called Pirinsko which is brewed in light and dark flavours. I believe it is brewed in Blagoevgrad... was paying 90 Stotinki in the summer... probably 2/3 lev in peak season

re: local beer

There is absolutly no issue with the local beers.I prefer kaminitsa. No difference between this and bud only the price. If you want imported beer you will often pay 3 - 4 times the price. Drink Bulgarian beer at about 2 lev / pint or buy it in the supermarkets in 2 litre plastic bottles for about 1 lev for the bottle.
