Red Bull?

Peggy was wondering if she could get any RED BULL over there. Its great for the low bloodpressure you know, but a bit dodgy if your not used to it.

Beer types.

Kamenitsa is about the best there is until u get to know the others. Its your average local lager. It comes in a Bulmers coloured bottle with a green and white label.
Its Bulgarian I think and therefore quite cheap.
All foreign beers are much dearer, but you can still get them.
G'luck,
Kevin

re: local drinks

Local teas in BG are herbal, not black, but you can buy any type of imported teas, of course. Herbal teas are much healthier, anyway...
Boza is a MUST-TRY sweet and very flavourful non-alcoholic drink( goes well with a pastry like banitsa).
BG beer:try Kamenitza, Shumensko, Zagorka etc. Dozens of reasonable local brands.
Rakia is the BG Booze fruit brandy, usually made of grapes/ plums or apricots. It's veeeery strong! Wink
Have fun! Very Happy

re: local drinks

Yeah "rakia" is bulgarian's trade mark and it is reaaaly strong alcohol drink. But you can try local yogurt- "kiselo mliako"(in bulgarian) and "airian" it is made from yogurt and water. Actually yougurt and "airian" are very helpful after long night with alcohol. Wink
