Going to Borovets in 2 weeks time......
Can you please recommend some nice famous local food?

Karvama is my favourite - local stew. YUMMIE!
Shopska Salads are brill too.
Masses of different cheeses as well.

If you want some really nice food find the Green King, just up the road on the way to the Flora on the left hand side. Only small but it has a selection of traditional bulgarian dishes. Some friends recommended the Green King special whilst we were there last week I think its called Sache (probably not even close) but its 3 different fillets of meat (veal, chicken & pork I think) all cooked up in a massive skillet / sizzle dish with onions and peppers.
