Borovets is the more lively, but some of the infrastructure is older. One main plus point for Boro is that if the weathers a tad bad youll get some skiing with Bansko if the gondolas shut you play drinking games

Bansko for me at the mo BUT am off to Boro this Sat (not having been there for about 13 years) so it will be interesting to compare.I just know that I love BG

Actually I think I will change my mind and vote for Borovets because I like the sound of the name.re: market research
Been to Borovets and Bansko...Borovets has a few hundred years of heritage to catch up with (and a hell of a lot of tons of concrete foundations!).
Still prefer Bansko... never been to Pamps but their webcam doesn't inspire me...

I've been to both, Borovets three times and Bansko for the first time this year.The skiing is better in Bansko, the pistes are more varied and the lifts are more organised and apart from a small queue at the Gondola hardly any waiting.
But we missed the atmosphere of Borovets in the evening, especially the Apre ski in Pete's Bar.
