my friend just come back from bansko from the 5 to 12 it was fab. the holiday rep said most off the snow WILL GO FROM ALL THE BULGARIA LOWER RESORTS. this week not good for me and family on the 19 to 26 of mar hope there wrong. SORRY

The sun decided to come out on the 12th at borovets. the snow was melting fast off the roofs. One guy even had his top off at lunch, outside. But, i think it probably dropped some celcius at night. your probably going to be okay, but only just, youll just have to head up the highest part of the moutain. have fun.re: melting snow next week so NEILSONS HOLIDAT REP.

The rep is right, the snow will go from the lower resorts eventually, the differance this season is the amount of snow they have had, the snow base is a depth exceptional for this time, it will take weeks for it to disappear especially on north facing slopes. The snow will go in the village, so what, a lot easier to get around.
Take it from me, skiing in glorious sunshine with good visability on reasonable piste is far preferable to skiing in a white out blizzard at sub zero temps ...

ps, if it is any consolation snow is predicted (not guaranteed) for that week anyway once the warm front has passed over, always in the hands of the gods my friend....

Tom,I live and work in Bansko and according to the weather, the minimum temperatures will still stay quite low. The ski road to the resort has a good base of snow. Official depth according to ULEn on the upper slopes today s 350cm.
Even if the ski road to the resort closes, up top will still have good conditions.
