message for phil ref bansko gondola closure

Hi Phil, please could you just clear a few things up for me and a few of the others, as it was your message that first mentioned the gondola being shut. If you don't mind us asking, who told you that it will be closed, was it through your tour operator and is there any other way of getting up to the Bansko slopes????? Cheers mate.

alright bandai, i heard it on this board from a seemingly reliable source. i've heard it a lot since so i'm pretty sure it's true. The chairs and drags are still running though so there must be a way to get up there. If there is a way i will find it .

Phil, I've just spoken to a very reliable source over in Bansko and apparently they have never heard of any such thing. If they do maintenance it will be in the evenings so I think we can all stop worrying. apparently it sometimes happens in Borrovets as their lift system is much older but not BANSKO.

Yes, we had confirmation from our tour operator today - the bansko gondola DOES NOT CLOSE

no probs at all, it was a good point and if someone had said it to me I would have been panicking, just as I was when I read your post. Phew we are all ok and look at snow forecast.com, it's looking good, bring it on.
