is it true that when your at the top of the mountain, mobile phone reception is fanstastic and the calls are free? Ive been told that cus your so high up, the mobile phone companies cant locate you and thus cant charge you for calls. Its the same on planes apparantly.

i phoned my sister from the top of the gondola(boro)on new years day,it was a very clear line but as i found out when my Vodafone bill arrived today it certainly wasnt free Sad

£1 to make a call and 65p to receive plus your normal tarrif.

Texts are a bit cheaper at 35p

Calls are only free when twice a day the satellite underneath the mountain!!!!
