going to bansko on 17th jan, wondering if its better to change money in resort or in the uk?

Some previous posts on here were comparing 2 lev to the pound in the UK(or even a little less) to around 2.2 to the pound if you exchange in Bulgaria.

Can't remember what post it was though....sorry!

I am going out on the 17th Jan and I will exchange in the resort with sterling ( making sure the notes are unmarked) because there is more confidence in the pound at the moment and the rate has altered by 10% in the last week and my bet is it will get better in the next week also.

thanks i reckon its worth waiting till there then! Just heard a few stories about dodgy exchange out there, but apparently the ski resorts are ok!

Always a better rate when you exchange in Bulgaria. Best rate though is with a Nationwide Flex account card at ATMs in resort. Better rate and no charges.
