correct............good sterling notes wiuth no rips or writing on them.......

as good a rate, often better out there. you will only need a few lev to get you going. in fact last year i arrived with no lev and changed some sterling at hoel reception straight away

re: money honey

in pamporovo you can use your credit card with your passport at the alaska supermarket.

the reliability of the cash machines is an annual thing, if they break or are emptied not always fixed immediatley

i kept cash in my case in the room with a small padlock on the case.

However , this is my 4th time going to bulgaria, and have never heardof any first hand experiences of money going missing

re: money honey

TAKE LEV..and beer cost 3-5Lev, exchange rate is about 2.5 - 2.85 £-Lev. They can exchange it out there and most accept sterling as well.
In addition there are cash points, but you are best off takeing about £200 - 250 if you enjoy drinking and eating well!!

Also spare a thought for all the new friends you will make selling you bells at the ski depot..they probably will accept anything!!
