sorry i took a while to gget back, but i have found it now. it is on the right hand side of the river just above Banderitsa hotel, which is on he second bridge down. a bit of a walk to the gondola especially with boots on, but they run a bus.

the best way into town is to walk down to the banderitsa then across the bridge and 400 yards further on is the town centre.
