Now then, now then. Going to Borovets in Feb. Taking a couple of my mates with me who've never boarded before so thought this wouldn't be a bad starting point for them (not knowing any different and not willing to spend a lot, YET). i've never been there and although i've been hearing some scary stories i don't really give two hoots. me and the boys can have a laugh at a wake.

Bearing in mind that we're not really on a budget or particularly skint, does any one know how much money to take with me in Levs? thinking about taking the lot in cash and deposit boxing it rather than relying on atm or T Cheques.
Where are the best Pistes? is there anywhere to go off piste? Any powder anywhere? How crowded will it be in the beginning of March?

You will have a great laugh. not too much boarding for the very serious excellent boarding types but there is a few places you can have a good laugh. If you like to mix your boarding with a lot of drinking partying and socialising this is the place for you.
Take about £250-300 spending. Would advise you take sterling (englidh notes only not written on or torn) and change them for levs in BG you get the best rates. Don't bother with travllers cheques they have a 10%commision on changing ...

Well on the cash front, went last year family of four to pamporova and could not spend £500. However they have restructured the lev this year so may be a little bit more expensive.
The skiing last year in January was excellent, loads of snow and not to many people, however it was very very cold -35 one night which screwed the lifts up a little with ice.
Other down side is the planes, a little old and had a respray. was a little worrying, but it was a good flight etc so one in the air ...
