Been to borovets, now thinking of going to pamps or bansko with party of 12 whats it like( some beginners , some with experience) Which are the best hotels, hopefully with entertainment.
Great resort for beginners/itermediates but a bit ltd for experianced. Best hotels are the Murgavets in centre of resort or the Hotel Pamporovo just outside. Also a number of new hotels / appartments set to open next season including a 5star in the centre. Dont know about Bansko as never been but it would offer you a lot more runs and is higher. Also it is a small town unlike Pamps wich is just Hotels. you will have a great time wherever you go.

I've stayed at the Pamporovo Hotel and the Murgavets this season and have just re booked for the Murgavets due to it's central location. The food is not as good as the Pamps but I will be eating out most evenings next time. The rooms are equally as good and it's not a long walk to ski depot 1 if you book with Balkan.
My next visit will be to Bansko for the ski runs which seem superior to Pamporovo and with the new Hotels / Apartments in Pamporovo I think that the already struggling lift ...

The atmosphere in PAmporovo is really good though and it will be a shame to give it a miss if Bansko lets me down on that front.
Just got back yesterday. Been to Pamps twice this year, once last. Skiing conditions fab, runs all in great shape. BIG, BIG queues on Thur, Fri, but this was only due to a national holiday. will keep that in mind for next year. Perilik and Mugavets smack in centre of resport. BJ's bar in perilik has 3 happy hours.........or at least it did last week. 1630-1730, 2230-2330, and a new one from 0300-0400 but can't really remember that one. Got a bus from ski staion No.1 to Smoylen (Check spelling) for 2 leva each. They are suppose to run on the hour, but as per everywhere, they blame the weather on them being late (25 mins). Found a resturant and had a meal for 4. Two bottles of red wine salads, mains, deserts and baileys £23 . Taxi back anything between 25 and 50 leva. We had Bulgarian friens with us and the taxi was 15 Leva!! The Bulgarian Barbeque Village restaurant next to the Murgavets hotel is Mrs. BFT's favorite. I personally think the live music is a bit loud if you are trying to have a good old chat.
Polar Bear - I was torn between Bansko and pamps but after reading some comments on hear about the Bankso ski schools I chose Pamps. Glad I did, because the ski school at Pamps was fantastic. I couldn't do the range of ski runs at bankso justice as a beginner, and even as a 2nd timer I would like to go back to Pamps. The lift system is improving all the time, and the resort is compact and lively. Seriously, for a 1st timer I would give Pamps the thumbs up!!
Been back from Pamporovo for two weeks now and would go again without hesitation. I could ski, but it was my wife and kids first time ever on skis, and the ski school is second to none - they had a great instructor, six hours per day of lessons, and the runs were perfect for beginners & intermediates - ski kindergarten OK and again six hours so plenty of time to get the runs in. The slopes get a little crowded on the blues & greens (as you would expect), but for the experienced in the party, ...

The slopes get a little crowded on the blues & greens (as you would expect), but for the experienced in the party, the reds & blacks were pretty quiet. Value for money wise, its fantastic for skiing, but ive been to other resorts where the apre ski is better - depends what you are looking for - we will be going back next year
