re: neilson

My (admittedly limited) understanding of this is that tc have asked for 100m on top of the 100m they recently borrowed taking their total borrowings over 1 billion and the share price dropped. They are, however, very unlikely to fold any time soon. Even if they do any consumers will be protected. Of course I don't know what that means for accommodation owners who have block bookings.

I would also say that there is much to be said for sorting it all yourself. There are plenty of helpful ...

Don't worry - I'm sure you will get your holiday!

re: neilson

Thanks for that, but we lost a holiday to Greece a few years back when Kosmar went bust and although we were ATOL and ABTA covered it tokk over 1 year to get our money back. I dont want to loose my weeks skiing but cant really afford to pay for it twice if yuo see what I mean.
If there are any helpful souls on the forum that can get us our flights transfers, accomodation, with full ski pack for less than £420 at the end of Feb in Bansko we would be very grateful. (just incase it all goes ...

See what you mean about the problems even if you get your money back. Is the price you mentioned self catering? If so I bet that is doable. Our holiday for 5 with bb accommodation, eve meals ski packs, lessons and skidooing, "bulgarian night" and horse riding was about 2400. Brochure price would have been the best part of a grand more We were at the bottom of the slope as well. This was borovets not Bansko so I can't help with places to stay but just check out some of the accommodation ...

S.P. D but, Paulo.

I am sure that Thomas Cook will be ok, to much at stake if they went down.

Anyway I could allways pick you guys up in my Lear jet if you want?? mind you that is dependent on me winning the lottery prior to departure.
