never tried skiing before?

HI , thought this might help anyone who has never had a go at skiing before. we booked our friends into a learn to ski group in tamworths snowdome, it is out of season at the moment and cost £85 for the whole day including a 2 course lunch. by the end of the day both our friends could ski from the top of the run and do very good controlled turns. I wish I had done this before going skiing. they are doing about 6-8 hours recreational skiing then booking on the learn to parallel course.
