well ive done it,come up with a new model which i believe is as good as any model ive seen this winter.

firstly, i made the base from an empty cornflake box.wife got annoyed when i poured out the cornflakes,

secondly i made a pyramid from cardboard and tape. this is 3 sided (i will give as much detail as pos in case anyone wants to make one)
the base or blunt end of pyramid was stuck to large flat side of cornflake box with strong glue.

next (and this is optional)i decorated 2 sides of the pyramid with sea shells and sea weed,the other side was decorated with drawings ie sun wind rain snow(no practical reason i just like to draw)

in the top of the pyramid i inserted a drinking straw(colour optional)to the top of which i attached a piece of string(explanation to follow)

now for the practical aplication of weather base 1

firstly it was plased in an area of the garden in view of window(to allow easy visual checks.

on checking this mornig it was covered in frost, and yes when i went out it was cold(passed first test)

if i look out and it is wet and soggy i know it will have rained(or cat has been in garden?then sniff test to follow)

if it is covered in snow ,goos chance it will have been snowing and there may be more to follow.

now for string, if i check and the string is not hanging down straight i will know there is a wind blowing.

up till now all checks show that this is an accurate tool. but i must point out it is only for localised weather .ie my garden.
and i accept no responsibility if people try to link it to weather fronts in other parts of the world.
