new road

Hi all...

Thought i would pass this on, the new link road from Sofia to Thessalonika carries on appace, big improvements when i travelled on it last week. Its a massive construction by anyones standard but they are definately getting on with it. Should bring the transfer time to Bansko to under two hours, good even by alpine transfer times.

One little thing, speed guns applenty so be warned if you are travelling by car....

Still investigating the rumours regarding the limiting of construction in Bansko (could be good if you have already invested) hanging fire on my plans to sell, still other issues that will need to be addressed especially in the way of budget flights, on this subject spoke to a guy who had come in from across the border, got a real good deal into Thessalonika (about £70.00 return from UK), three and a half hours to get to Bansko including delay at border, the new road would help here also in the future.

Anyway lots to do, will keep all updated as i find out the facts....

re: new road

Possiby not darlin, i`m not saying that they are not working but some of the cuts through the hillsides are huge, lets just say that they are not Amy Roadstone or Tarmac, equipment seems quite dated but for all that hats off to them for the improvements made already. Our transfer time was down to two and half hours and that was with a short stop. Our driver was no maniac either...

What did you think of the piccies, did you recognise the bar i was standing outside ????

re: new road

Did you not get my mail then? Of course I recognised Happy End, drank there many times after the days skiing. Also your room at the Pirin must have been very close to ours as your view from the window was identical. When we were there they were ploughing that car park every day.

Was picture 10 the ski road by any chance??

Send me some more if you can. What was in that large zip file???

Steve
Why dont you put your photos on a web site and then give friend etc your user address?

I used Community webshots that Mike said was good.

Really easy to use up to 250 photos for free in as many albums as you want.
