i have just bought new skis please could anybody advise me if i need to wax them or just get up the mountain and ski ski and ski.

were you not adviced when you bought them, I was told mine were waxed and would be fine

got my skis edged and waxed in pamps last year for about £4 Very Happy

These days most ski OEMs do a factory wax so depending what skis you have bought the chances are you won't need to wax them. The skis that I sell have a factory wax, so are ready to use.
I would however advise on all skis to get a hot wax after two or three days use.
