There's some chance of a flutter of snow on Fri or Sat as a couple of small cold fronts push down from the North around the huge mass of high pressure which has been keeping everywhere cold and bright and, unfortunately, snow-free.
This high pressure will be forced South at the end of this coming weekend by the weather system that is currently pushing into the UK. So if the charts stay true then there is a better chance of more consistent precipitation for NY's day and after.
Hope so, ...

Hope so, I'm out in Borovets this Sat for my usual NY visit ...
