Hello all I know it,s a big ask but whats it generaly like in Borovets the first week of January, I,m thinking of coming that week as I only have a small number of available holidays next year. cheers Dave

Generally the ski season is later in Bulgaria (and has also been the case throughout Europe /Alps) so that December is really risky likewise early Jan but late Jan through to end March (or even late April depending on if it's a very good season or not) is the time to go.
Clearly if you've no kids it's possibly better to avoid half term - and if you've not booked it as yet you'll see charter flights are already hugely more pricy at that time of year than not.

We went this year 14th March and the snow was incredible it literally dumped 190cm of snow over a couple of days then just kept going. Super conditions. This was on top of what was already a great base layer of snow.
New Year will be a nightmare hours to get up the mountain so unless you really must I'd skip that time too personally
