off piste Bansko

Hi guys does any1 know if it is possible to ski off piste in Bansko? And if so how much approximately will it cost to hire a guide?

Thanks for that. I just read this on there, does any1 know if this was built?

'During the summer of 2006, building will begin on a new black run, which should be ready for the 2006/2007 season. The new black run will take you down the east side of Todorka and once finished, will be among the top ten most extreme black runs in Europe.'

Hmmm. It is there, but was closed all of last season because of the high avalanche risk. Basically there is a famous off piste route down a chute (uncompromisingly called 'the avalanche') that runs perpendicular to this black run. Avalanches coming down it dump directly onto this run, the main Todorka run being protected as its on the other side of the hill. Hope that makes sense. I don't think its ever been opened.
