oh excited!!!

Hi Guys

Hope everyone had a happy christmas! We're going to Boro on 6th Jan and was wondering if anyone could help with a couple of questions?

Where are the good places to eat?
Where are the good places to drink!
What is there to do for the non-skiers amongst us?
Has anyone been with Balkan Hols - what are they like, whats the flight like with them?

Thanks in advance for any help, and see other peeps out there on the 6th

Hi Claire - we've been travelling with Balkan on and off since 1991. Generally they're really obliging and very laid back. When we first flew with them in the 1990s, the planers were really old Russian ones - the insides looked like a fortune-teller's tent - red embroidered curtains at the windows! When we first flew with them in the 1990s, the planers were really old Russian ones - the insides looked like a fortune-teller's tent - red embroidered curtains at the windows! The meal was a slice of (horse?) meat, a bread roll and one SERIOUSLY big tomato. The smoking section was at one side of the aisle and the non-smoking at the other, and the stewardesses were kept bust ferrying trays of vodka up to the flight deck! They have moved on quite a bit since then though - and we keep going back. Are you flying to Plovdiv?

Claire,

You will find all you need in Boro. Good places to eat you can find easily at the center or whatever you would call it. "The place" for drinking and hanging out is the Buzz Bar - they even got happy hours.

Too right - keeps your mind off other minor concerns - the water dripping from the rusty bolts ... the poorly fitting doors ... the 'happy' pilots ... - only kiddin' -have a great time!
