Can anyone tell me about the chairlfts in pams. this is my first time skking out of the snow dome and i am worried about getting on and off the lifts and totally petrified of how high off the ground they may go especially if they are rickety and old, please tell me that theres a strong safety bar hoding you in.i would be gratefull to anyone who can put my mind at rest
and by the way how high are they

I was worried the first time i went.There is nothing to worry about.Everybody gets to the top of the mountain by the 4 man chair lift.It comes around behind you nice and slowly,you just gently sit down with your ski,s on and pull a bar down on to your lap.Other lifts are 1 man chair lifts,2 man, drag lifts,where you hold onto a bar,t-bar where 2 of you put the bar behind your bum and get pulled up,button lifts where you put a disk between your legs and you hold onto the bar ...

Hayley my partner was not looking forward to the chairlifts, but she thought they where ok! The main one is not that high and if you have loads of snow it feels very low in some places.
Paul I will be in Pamps from the 21st with a few others meeting up in Bjs @ 22.00 on the 22nd.

Hayley I'm not good at heights especially if my feet are not on the ground but I manage the worst is the single chair but I only do that if really big queues on the 3 man but I found if I tell the man operating the lift he gives me a hand and pulls the safety barrier over for me The others don't seem so bad as you have company and it takes your mind off the height and the bar is secureGo and enjoy it's a small part of the whole holiday

the height is not so bad as the trees hide most of it i suffer from vertigo and manage ok going up but strangley not going down if i did to use this method.re: pamp chairlifts
