My 18 month old grandauhter was just diagonised with diabetes 2 months ago and we are still getting our heads around it, was interested in taking her ski ing next year but would the kindergarten cater for a diabetic child, and do you think we would have any problems there with herre: pamp pete (advice diabetic child)

I am really sorry to hear of the news, but believe me it is VERY liveable with now, and my relapse was due to a few complications other than just the Diabetes. (I have been diabetic now for 31 years.)
The question you have asked me is far too serious for me to answer as I am not a doctor, nor do I know of her diabetic condition.
I can however, see no reason why she should be restricted in any way, be it skiing or any other activity. I play a lot of golf, scuba dive, ski, in ...

We are luck we live in the days we do, and she can look forward to a very-near normal life doing all the activities she wants to. Good people around her like yourselves will show her the way, then it is very much down to self management.
As long as I have my insulin pen and a Mars bar with me, I would happily fly to the moon.
