re: pamporovo difficulty

hi janye,
you might find pamporovo good but your husband wil probably lack the challange as they only have one difficult slope - Magyar nyelvû (i think the brits called it the wall). at the end of our week we could all do it, be we had good snow and were all good skaters.

re: pamporovo difficulty

I think there are more than 1 black run in Pamps. I remember doing one which started off red then went ooeeerrrrrr black then red again. Also there were a couple of slopes under the 3 man chair which definately looked black. I managed to do the wall on my belly back ar#e etc but not on 2 feet. I think it may have something to do with the very large brandies that I supped before attempting it.I managed to get some speed up on my belly skis downhill and in the air, I travelled so fast that the ...

Maybe it was just me though 'cos my son managed it on 2 feet after only 1 weeks skiing.

re: pamporovo difficulty

If you husband is very experianced he will ski out Pamporovo very quickly. He will be able to get from top to bottom in 10 minutes. But it is a great little resort ideal for your level and of course very cheap.

re: pamporovo difficulty

It's the age old problem of "we've heard" and it all really depends what you are looking for.

There are some really challenging blacks and reds in Pamporovo. 3 blacks and a long red that is boardering on black in several places.

As Daniel said, it's cheap, it's fun and it's friendly and much depends on what you are comparing it against.

You will always enjoy Pamps whatever your skill level, and the hardest slope, (The Wall) is a test for any expert.

Give it a try, and I bet you ...

re: pamporovo difficulty

I have to agree with most of the comments made. I have been to Pamps 7 times and this march will be my 8th.

I have skied the "wall" many times but I still get a rush of fear each time I do it (something about looking down and seeing all those people a long way away).

As Pamparoro Pete said, there is something here for everybody and you will enjoy it whatever your skill level. Also the beer is very cheep, as are the spirits. One of my favourite games in the evenings is "chase the ...

Once you've tried Pamps you will be hooked.
