I took plenty of Lev, my Mum took only sterling. She changed what she needed at the reception desk - exchange rate was similar to England, so take your pick.
If you take Lev, try and get small denomination notes - several times I had problems with larger notes.

Marks and spencer are doing a good currency exchange at moment for Leva, there is a bank in Pamps and I found I got more leva back for my money if I changed it there and not the hotel, probably only a few leva more, so stick with the hotel if its handier...
