Hi Paddy,
It depends on who you're travelling with I suppose, but here's our experience with Inghams. Meet your rep at about 9am, then on the coach to the ski area, with all the vouchers you've been given. If you've got your own gear, find somewhere to store it for the week (unless you want to lug it back and forth all week?....cost us 5 Lev a day each). If you're getting fitted for the school gear, the rep will tell you which cave to get it from. Once kitted out, they will give you a numbered slot to leave your stuff in all week, you simply pick it up each day from the same spot. The wooden hut next to the taxi rank, is where you get your lift pass from. Check when you arrive if there is a queue (doubt it), if not get your pass straight away. The new radio passes have a 6 Lev returnable deposit, and work brilliantly.
If you want to break yourself in gently, and you're not having lessons, get straight on the single chair (we never queued for this), it takes you halfway, and you can get used to the feel of your kit.

You'll have a ball !!!

Not tried them yet, will almost certainly be next year though.
I wouldn't have imagined it being very different for any of the operators on the first day. It is a bit manic, same as anywhere on the first day. After that, no problem all week.

re: pamps- first day

Used Balkan last 3 years. Much the same apart from the passes. We got those from the rep in the hotel, but they have changed this year so I expect them to be the same as Ingams now.
