We visted pamps 13th March stayed at the Murgavets Hotel me the wife and two children aged 5 and 7, all booked with Balkan Holidays.
This was our first ever skiing holiday and despite sufering a Ruptured Collateral Knee Ligerment we can not wait to get back there.
I would like to comment on our experiences as "first timers" not only to skiing but also to Bulgaria so here goes........

Arrival at Sofia by reps was good with coach parked very close to departures, this was very good as ...
We visted pamps 13th March stayed at the Murgavets Hotel me the wife and two children aged 5 and 7, all booked with Balkan Holidays.
This was our first ever skiing holiday and despite sufering a Ruptured Collateral Knee Ligerment we can not wait to get back there.
I would like to comment on our experiences as "first timers" not only to skiing but also to Bulgaria so here goes........
Arrival at Sofia by reps was good with coach parked very close to departures, this was very good as any one with small childrens knows.
Transfer to resort was about 3 1/2 hours with a much welcome stop at the golden arches!!!!
During the transfer our rep "Maria" informed us of what to do in the morning etc...... very helpful and informative.
Hotel, reached hotel around 11.40pm and was given a packed dinner, very welcome after long day.
The first day, As promised an instructor met us at the hotel reception and showed us where to get the bus everyday.
Ski center 2, our rep was there and gave us all tickets, passes etc.. and then kindly took us to Kindergarten and showed us all around the kindergarten explaining all the activities that the children will be doing and introduced us to the staff, Ely was lovely by the way and very reassuring.
We were duly kitted out with boots and skis which the people at the ski center helped with, onto the lessons.
There was 6 in our class and they were very well structured and guided at all times, we had Katy and she was lovely, By lunch we were doing our first green run from the top with her( everyone in our class had taken a few lessons in UK).
We didnt realise how tireing that skiing was!!!!!!!! we ached in places we never knew we had.
We picked the children up from kindergarten and they had said that they had a lovely time and can we please please please go back to kindergarten tomorow!!!!!
The rest of the week was fantastic, the conditions were excelent, the resort was lovely, no ques for lifts and the Bulagarians were lovely to.
We are already looking at booking for next year, as soon as i get the goahead from the doctor with my knee we will be booking for another fantastic week next year.
This discussion board really helped us before we went with alot of helpfull inforamation.

Thats great to hear such a positive review Jason particularly about the kindergarten. Did the children do any skiing at all whilst at the kindergarten?

Glad you enjoyed it Jason, how did you finsd out about your injury? I did my knee too but can't get any info - just been told to ice and rest.caz

I suffered bad fall at midstation and had to get doctor, he x rayed and put leg in cast till arrived home Sat just gone.It didnot spoil the hols at all as it happened towards the end. Having MRI scans and long term treatment etc at moment so all being well in the next few months should all be ok.
