pamps update 25/12/08

we have not had any real snow just a few flakes.
the only run still opened is thebottom half of green. but it icey and rocks.

i went up top 2day but ski school will not take u there.
alot of snow and parts of it r not skiable because they have not prepared the pistes.
i have a feeling they r trying to hold it 4 next week arrivals.

they r expecting alot of snow sunday and monday they say localy

current rate of exchange 2.00 to the pound

I've never been before and just booked a suprise holiday for me and the kids on 4th Jan, do you think it will be ok by then??

Where is best to exchange money, at home or over there? Stopping in the Finlandia.

Hi Richard, three of us are also going for the first time on 3rd Jan, how old are your kids? I have got half of my money exchanged over here, just to see me through first few days,tesco was offering just over 2 levs to £. A lot of people on this forum have suggested nationwide flex card in resort as there are no charges, which is a good idea,and which i will do. Hope this helps. see you there. Jayne

Finlania is out of resort so you will need to take a taxi into the town at night. Money can be exchange at Forex few about town, It was a better rate than at home last year. There will be plenty of snow for 1st time skiers have fun
