I'm not 'talking' about anything - I am simply passing on information from Bulgaria's biggest selling daily paper. Rather than look at weather reports that change by the day I tend to believe the papers more as they have no vested interest in misleading people, something that can't be said for a lot of the online forecasts which are extremely innacurate and are often sponsored by tour agents.

Those of us who have booked can only hope that we get sufficent snow to enjoy our holiday. Those who are yet to book may well find the information helpful in deciding when best to go.
So by trawling the internet to find a positive forecast that suits is just burying your head in the sand and can also be very misleading.
None of us know for sure what weather we will get in the future - so lets look at it when the time comes and we'll then see which report is the more accurate.
I sincelely hope it's yours - but I have my doubts.
Hello both
To be honest I take anything beyond 7 days with a pinch of salt. Trends can be set but any details, particularly with snow, are extremely difficult to predict more than 4 or 5 days out. I would actually argue Pete that papers are probably the worst for weather forecasts, as by the time they are printed they are already out of date ( from a meteorological point of view ). Yes some "snow" sites might have an agenda but I'm 99.9% certain they all use the GFS model to devise their ...

You can see what they see yourself http://www.meteociel.fr/modeles/gfse_cartes.php?ech=6&code=0&mode=1
if you click on the link it says what the forecast 850 temps ( roughly one mile up ) will be out to the next two weeks or so. You need it be be -4 or lower roughly for snow although with altitude temps can be a bit higher for the white stuff. You can then also look at precip and see if they predict snow (shaded is snow). You will see these pretty much mirror what the forecast sites say. The thing is they update every 6 hours which is why there is so much gnashing of teeth when people see snow predicted in the morning and then it's gone by the afternoon. At the moment I would say the general trend is for a cool down on Weds, maybe a little warm fri/sat then a fair bit colder with snow potential into next week. Could all change though!
