Thats very sad news, Sad

When we where out in Jan this year, A skier lost control (SPEEDING) Went colliding with our instructor took the feet from under him, got back up put ski's on never said sorry and sped off again Confused leaving our instructor shocked angry and bruised, resulting in, not being able to ski the next day Sad

So please be carefull, slow down on the green remember it is for beginners, thanks Wink

re: play safe-keep the speed down!

Last year the instructors were pelting down the green run at the end of the day but there were still people on their way down off the mountain. I thought it was quite iresponsible because some of us were beginners and the mad speeds meant there would be no chance of getting out of the way if one of us changed direction quickly. Sad

re: play safe-keep the speed down!

On the afternoon of our last day in Feb 06 got taken out on green by someone who was completely out of control. This person was swearing at the top of his voice and shot down the slope in a straight line. He ran over my skis, managing by some fluke to stay on his own and I went head over heels. Ski pole hit face - resulting in split lip and black eye. I was also very shaken and it made me really nervous about going back this year. This person must not have had any instruction at all. ...

Should be like Xcape - you ought to achieve a minimum standard before going onto the main slope, other wisr you're a real danger to yourself and others.

re: play safe-keep the speed down!

minimum standards have to be introduced but there is nobody to police the runs. You get everywhere this in Europe .Just try when you ski not to do sudden movements cos for the slkiers behind you that is a suprise.get a good ski insurance as well.

re: play safe-keep the speed down!

Disagree about no one to police runs any where. The Italian police patrol the ski slopes (no not in Fiat Pandas)
and can and do fine idiots and or confiscate lift passes.

re: play safe-keep the speed down!

according to the ski instructors in bulgaria last year they are planning to employ people to man the slopes to fine the speed demons that are out of control. they are planning to confiscate life passes from dangerous people.
