Hi all just been told by travel agent that Plodiv airport is closed for our holiday (28/12/0Cool booked with balkan , can anybody tell me how long hrs from sofia to pamps.

the transfer is approx 3-4 hours depending on the weather

If you drive it is 2.5- 3 hours tops

Hey we're travelling in mid January and our flight's been changed too... Happened last year too except they changed our departure point that time!

Part of the fun of a Balkan holiday!!! You never know what's happening until you get there!!!

The airport isnt closed its just that Balkan have swapped all flights into Sofia this year. Thomson are flying into Plovdiv (well hopefully as I am on their flight 27th Dec!!).

We're flying into Plovdiv with Thomson in Feb 09. We used Balkan until last year, when we decided on a change. Thomson FAR better - and cheaper.
