This might sound daft, but have you thought of following one of the coaches? even if you have to go back to the airport and wait a while it may still be the best option. We are going on 22nd hope to see you there and that you make it safely.

if you have a smartphone get a tomtom 6 on it. buy external gps reciver and download the map fo eastern europe. all in all will be done in an hour(download, instalation to start of the program.) I dont really know how good will be for back country roads as the one to pamporovo but giv it a go. Buy one of these ROAD MAPS from Ebay and study every turn for a while. I'VE JUST CHECKED ON MY TOMTOM -there is the navigation. will take you 1.30h in good conditions. its 82 km away.

When you come out of the airport turn right and just follow that road all the way to Asonevgrad.

When you come into the town keep in the right hand lane and bare right when you come to the roundabout.

Follow this road now through three tunnels and many villages. It's just one road even through Chepelare.

When you leave Chepelare keep an eye out for a road on your right after 2-3 miles and turn right. This road will take you straight upto Pamps

Plovdiv airport is so small -there are 2 doors (entrance ,exit) and one belt for bags. On 22 there will be one flight only from Thomson so i don’t think you wont find each other.
