Hi everyone i am new to this site just started looking before our trip to borovets in feb half term (loved it), been looking at the webcam for pamporovo is the snow allways this poor at this time of year? as I would like to go skiing thers next year.

We were in Pamporovo this Feb half term and last feb half term too. Both times we stayed at the Elina. There's a seat outside the hotel and last year the snow was so deep that you couldn't even see the part where you sit. The temps were below -20 all week apart from Friday and all runs were open with perfect ski conditions. I think this year was just a fluke - hope so cos we've booked for Feb 2008 already!re: poor conditions in Pamporovo
hey ive been pamps 4 times now and no the snow is not normally this bad! last year and the previous years theres been loadssss of snow, they've just been really unlucky this year with the snow but i still had a great week skiing there this year, infact it was the best years' skiing i've had so far! lol
most of europe has had a lot of trouble this yr with the lack snow and with pamps being the most southern ski resort in europe they've had it reli bad.
hope it dont put u off going coz its ...

You're right about Europe this year. Someone I work with went to Austria half term week - he said the snow was so poor that he only skiied the first three days. Two beginners who went with him gave up after just two because the little snow they had was so icy! At least in Pamps we did ski every day -and the conditions at the top were pretty good.re: poor conditions in Pamporovo
We went to Pamps this year, early Jan..our 4th time. This year was just a fluke. Previous years echo the above! Lots of fabulous snow!!!Next year will be better....we hope! Booked for March 08!
