Heard rumour that there were loads of power cuts in Pamporovo last week. Anyone any info on this ?

Pamporovo does suffer with power cuts. Although I have been 4 times and never had one they do happen. Mind you it happens when it is snowing like mad, so not all bad.

Just make sure you either take snap lights or a torch - I was in Pamps in Jan 04 and there was a powercut when I was in the bath - kept snaplights in my soapbag so had bath by blue glowing light

had a few last year on the slopes due to mad thunder & lightning. was a bit hairy being stuck on the 4 man when it was zapping everywhere! no probs in the hotel pamps apart from the lift dropping a couple of feet when we were going upwards

Stayed in Pamporovo last week, lots of power cuts worst one was Friday morning at 2.45. We were getting picked up at 3.30am to fly home and had to take our cases down 2 flights of stairs by the lights on our mobile phones you would be better taking a torch with you to be on the safe side

In pamps over Xmas and yes there were several power cuts on a couple of the days, Which happend to be the days it was raining heavily.

But don't let that put you off.

Just remeber at the beginning of the winter we were being threatened with powercuts here if the winter was too long and cold, because we would be using to much energy.
