Hi Tom
I agree with your comments, Its looking good for bulgaria joining the EU
I bought an apartment in Sunny Beach last August, I am having a 3 bed lux villa built near Sunny Beach, which will be ready about June, have also bought plots of land in the area.2005 will see a big increase in demand as most of the major tour operators will be going and Bulgaria is getting lots of media coverage at the moment. You may be aware that as a non bulgarian, the law does not allow you to own land unless you form a bulgarian company and buy through the company.
This does not stop the purchase of apartments as they have shared common areas. The land laws are being debated at the moment and there is a possibility they may change. I worked with Sunny Beach Immobilien on 00359 8999 76 778
my contact is Rado, a bulgarian with great local knowledge. www.radimex@abv.bg
If I can assist you further please let me know, I will be going out there every month from March.
PS. went to pamps skiing over New Year.
Watch out for inflated prices offered by British based estate agents or guaranteed rental return, there is some heavy sell going on at the moment.
regards
Westy

Hi tom
Agree with westy, i have just bought in Bansko, prices are rising all the time due to the demand, my advice is get in there especially if you are looking at the mountains. I could recommend an agent if you were interested in Bansko but
ultimately the decision is down to you who you decide to go with...
E-mail me for more info..

re: property....

Tom, I agree with Steve, if you are serious, buy sooner rather than later.
I went out last August and bought as much as I could and the increases have already been seen. A plot of land already regulated in the best location on the coast - I paid 65euro/sq mtr. I was offered 75 one week after. A week before christmas was offered 85 euro. Still not selling. Same story with my apartment £37k in August - offered £47k in October and its not completed until April 05.

Steve will propably have a better idea of increases in the ski resorts, but I would think much the same story.
Good luck.
