I have seen from your reply to flight changes that you are not going to pamp's with a tour company this season.I am doing the same but have run into a problem with lift passes. As I can not get one from the U.K. I am sure that I can get one in pamp's from the tourist office but I was wondering, when and how are you going to get your lift pass?
If you have any info on this it would help a lot.
Many thank's, Andy.
We are actually going to Bansko, but I guess the question is the same. Simple answer is - no idea on the price yet!!
We have booked a catered chalet run by an English family who will be arranging all of the ski hire and lift pass etc direct with the ski schools, and will no doubt get us a decent price. Doubt it will be as cheap as the big tour ops, but will be cheaper than just turning up and trying to buy on the day!
Hi IMT,
We are staying at the hotel karov in chepelare from 29/12/04 to 22/01/05 which is owned by one of the ski instructor's from pamp's.I have seen the hotel this Jan and it's not bad,12 rooms,40 bed's all with shower, bath, toilet, mini bar and t/v. All rooms have been refurbished last summer. Sauna and massage(free)
Not bad at £10 per night B&B
Airport transfer's and transport to and from the ski depot each day is included as well!! He has also put in the ski school ...

It's a shame that he can not get the lift passes this season but he said that he can for next season.
So if you no anyone that is stuck for accom this season, give me a shout and I will give you the info for the hotel.
Happy skiing, and drink lot's of beer
Thank's Andy.
Sorry to butt in Andy, but if you do buy a pass in Pamporovo it will cost you quite a lot more than the UK prices. You will be looking at £150 (ish) for the week and you will not get it any cheaper.
Chepalare however is much cheaper, and a day pass there will cost you about £8.
Skiing there is great. No crowds (except weekends) and some great runs.
Thanks for the info Pete. I will have to get the lift pass in Pamp's for the 3 week's.I have seen the ski runs in Chepelare from a book so I will try them as well.It look's like they are good and as you said not many people there. It will make a nice change from Pamp's.
Thank's again and happy skiing
