I have tried not to get too involved in this debate steve, as I know many people are desperate to see new snow arrive.
But I did post a couple of days ago that I believe the season starts too early in Bulgaria, and whilst it is understandable that everyone there wants to start earning money from us tourists ASAP, I certainly would never go before mid January.
So yes, I have known the end of December to be like this, many times. But one sustained downfall can make all the difference, ...

Sure, some years the snow has been fantastic around this time of year, but the big falls don't usually come until early Jan.
As you know, I always go for 2 weeks around 22nd Jan and have always been fortunate to have good, if not great snow.
But it's in the hands of the Snow Gods now and there is diddiley squat I can do about it
But I have no concerns at all for Jan 22nd............. it will be fine I can assure you.

True, true.............We all want snow and will be disappointed is there isnt enough
But its still a holiday to a beautiful country, with nice people and cheap beer
There are still lots of positives
